Chocolate - probably the first love of the kids and one of the few things one would never want to cease loving!

But for Vegans, is chocolate a possibility? Can a vegan chocolate give the same delight as a traditional chocolate would?

Chocolate comes from the pod of the cocoa tree, making it, of course, vegan. Also, since it is dairy free, it is also low-fat in nature.

A Quality Vegan chocolate, will have a higher chocolate content, pure ingredients and no additives. The ingredients will be: cocoa, cocoa butter, lecithin, sugar and vanilla.
Lesser quality Vegan chocolates have more ingredients, which may contain food start, artificial flavours.

Nutrition in Chocolate:
All the nutrition one expects in a non-vegan chocolate, is available in a vegan chocolate too.

Cocoa which is known to reduce the risk of mood and emotional disorders is the primary ingredient of chocolate. And since chocolate is made of cocoa, and a vegan chocolate will have more of cocoa and less of additives, the same level of antioxidants one gets in fruits and vegetables, can be found in a vegan chocolate too.

So, the trick to make Vegan chocolate is to not disturb the veganese nature of the same :)
